Parts and Inventory
Manage spare-parts stock by adding parts, linking them to assets, auto-decrementing on work orders, and acting on reorder alerts.

Adding and linking parts
Open Parts then New part and enter name and manufacturer part number (the canonical identifier), category, quantity on hand, reorder point, reorder quantity, location, cost per unit, and vendor. From any asset's Parts tab, choose Add compatible part so the part appears on the asset, auto-suggests on work orders, and feeds demand forecasting. One part can fit many assets.
Auto-decrement and reorder alerts
When a technician closes a work order and lists parts used, Rivolq decrements stock automatically, keeping counts honest without stocktakes. Train techs to use the Parts used field and the part picker, not free text. Reorder alerts fire below the reorder point or on predicted shortage based on consumption velocity and PM schedules; they route to your inbox and optionally a vendor email for auto-PO.
Dashboard and tips
The Parts page summarizes total inventory value, stockouts, slow movers (no movement in 12-plus months), and top consumed. Set reorder points to lead time times consumption. Keep part numbers manufacturer-canonical, audit twice a year, and skip records for disposables like tape and zip ties.
