Add, Update, Retire, and Troubleshoot Assets
Keep the equipment register accurate by adding, updating, labeling, metering, and retiring assets rather than deleting them.

Why accuracy matters
The Assets page is the register the rest of Rivolq depends on. Wrong records attach work to the wrong history, weaken PM schedules, mislabel QR codes, and confuse dashboards.
Add and update
When adding an asset, capture name, facility, location, type, status, asset tag, serial, manufacturer, model, and warranty context. If you only know the name and facility, save and improve it later. Update the existing record when an asset moves or changes; do not create a new one, so history stays connected.
Labels, meters, and detail
Filter the list before printing QR labels, since Rivolq prints labels for visible assets; confirm duplicates are removed and retired assets are hidden. Add meters for runtime, cycles, pressure, temperature, or vibration with name, unit, reading direction, current reading, and warning and critical thresholds. The detail page brings together work, activity, PMs, meters, predictive drivers, dependencies, and documents.
Retire and troubleshoot
Retire assets that no longer operate but whose history matters; deletion should be rare. If an asset seems wrong, check for duplicates, filters, facility mismatch, retired status, or import cleanup needs. Pin assets to floor plans only after the location is correct.
